Sorry, Link is screwed up. I laughed at Flints first qoute. This article was yesterday, and it's good to see sales are healthy and their stepping up production to meet demand. Go Honda !
"What we really wanted to do," said Gary Flint, chief engineer for the Ridgeline, "is build a truck that didn't stink. We felt most other trucks stink."
After a weeklong test drive of a fully equipped Ridgeline RTL, I would suggest that Honda did make one mistake: it probably underestimated the truck's first-year sales, which it had pegged at 50,000.
"We are currently doing everything we can to adjust production upwards, as quickly as we can," said Mr. Flint, noting that since sales began last month, the response has exceeded Honda's modest expectations. |
