I still can't believe that I ended up with the Ridgeline. I was originally going to buy a convertible. The wife and I were always talking about having a nice convertible to take road trips in. We have rented them a few times, and we really enjoyed them. But earlier this year, we started talking about a boat. We had two Camry LE's, an '03 and an '05. You surely can't pull a boat with those. I started shopping around in January, but really only looked at the Taco and the Tundra. I also stopped in at my Honda dealer to look at the Pilot, and they told me about the upcoming Ridgeline. When they came out in March, and I was told how much it would cost, I balked at first. But I really liked it. When I was ready to buy, I came to find that I would have to order the Tundra I wanted, and it would take up to 8 weeks to get it. We stopped back in at Honda, mostly to look at the Pilot again, and there was the Ridge. The wife said to do it, I said why not. I still paid too much, but we really love this truck, and I think it is much better than the Tundra for my needs, so I'm glad I did it.
This truck is still pretty new, so there are not a lot of them on the raod in the L.A. area yet. All the better for me, because everyone is paying attention to my truck! :wink: |

i live in santa clarita also! are u near castaic? i have a black rtl w/sunroof..getting my 20" rims on saturday actually..will post picks asa i get the rims...have only seen 1 RL in our area (a white one)...did u buy your truck from valencia honda? just wondering..

getting some 20" tsw wheels from a company called darkside motoring west hills, california..tires are falkens i believe..i had these brand of tires on my is300...
i will post pix saturday night/sunday morning.. |

here are what the wheels look like..i'm getting them in hyperblack w/a polished lip mainly because everyone seems to have chrome..which isn't a bad thing..

I am not getting the rims because I plan to use mine off road. I would hate to bust up $2000 worth of rims on the hills up here. But the black ones look awesome with chrome rims, I saw it at the dealer that way. Maybe you should look at it that way before you decide... |

bought mine from robertson honda april 1st..i brought it straight home and haven't driven it since (was waiting on the wheels/tires to come in)..was gonna buy from power since i've purchased 4 hondas from them but they were giving me the runaround..wouldn't give me MSRP and i was paying cash!! i almost bought that black one that they had w/the chrome TSW's on it...i ended up buying from robertson because i bought a couple of hondas from them in the past...
i'm on the 5 side of the freeway..i'll definitely be on the lookout for your RL!! |

| I'm surprised Power was giving you the runaround. They were pretty sraight forward with me, and I ended up financing trhough them. They had everything laid out before I signed the docs. Your Ridge is going to look good with those Mondellos. I will definitely keep an eye out for it! See you around town? |

I still love Toyota. I don't have anything bad to say about their cars. The dealer, though....... |

i was surprised too that they were giving me the runaround..usually when u pay cash for a car, you would think they'd be a little more up front..the usual thing happened..i wanted to know the out the door price, and salesperson was like well, i don't know that, the gm does...so i asked to speak to the gm...he was pulling figures that didn't make sense...i had my amortization book and everything....told me to take it or leave it..shook his hand and went to robertson honda the following day..

| my rtl is black..got it w/the sunroof and roof rack...rims will be hyperblack (kinda like chrome but not as shiny)..will post pix this weekend! |
