We've been to the other sites....
We've seen that there is a ratio of about 18-20% of owners that have the ridgeline whistle......
We've been watching to see how it will get fixed......
Now lets take our poll......
How many people have this problem!!!?
Me!!! That's one! |

| I test drove the one I was looking at purchasing, and it had the wind noise on it... The salesperson was like "hmm, one of the windows may be down a bit". I told him it was known to be an issue. He responded saying that "some vehicles just have wind noise". I replied calmly... "A new Honda shouldn't..." I ended up not buying from the dealership anyway because they wanted to steal my trade (03 Accord EX V6 Coupe) for 2K under book and would not budge from sticker. Silly dealerships... I just told them to give me a call when they want to meet my price demands. I'm not in a hurry, and I will gladly wait for the hype to go down and the prices to drop. |

| It's particularly disturbing to hear that they tried to sell you a vehicle with a defect...reminds me of an old, old, old story about IBM selling defective computers -- when they'd find out about a defect, they'd include info about it in the manual, call it a feature, and raise the price! |

Riding to work today I noticed 2 things about the Ridge. Although I dont have the wind noise I could tell that most of the wind that hit the windshield was at the top. The other thing I noticed was none of the water on my hood wound up on my windshield. In my Chevy, I would get a complete window wash from any water on the hood. Would be cool to see the actual wind tunnel tests they did with the Ridge.

Hi Dave! :)
Hmmm, I knew there was something different about the RidgeLine when driving in rain/snow (from the Pilot), but never could figure it out. Yes, it would be interesting to see the wind tunnel tests. I understand that is where Honda discovered how the little ridges on the side mirrors helped.

Damn Meat, I wouldnt buy there either. but this is one of the many wind noise threads ( Although what you mentioned is a wind noise usually produced by high fiber foods ) I would post your advice in the shopping and test drives section :D

Temp. = 50 + (Chirps per minute - 40)/4
In english --- the temperature in fahrenheit is equal to fifty plus the number of chirps made by a cricket in one minute minus forty divided by four. Who the hell comes up with this stuff!?
Or, said another way, the temperature in fahrenheit is equal to two hundred plus the number of chirps in a minute minus forty all divided by four.

| I thought velcro was so old people don't have to teach their kids how to tie shoes! It's the kid-safe prescription drug containers that are meant to keep old people occupied! :) |
