| new vehicle purchased 5/20/05. first rain exposed water leak someplace in front passenger cowl. carpet on passenger side front and rear soaked.Dealer advised TSB onfile for problem. Last time I visited dealer I found front right fender off and tech's sealing seams. Dealer will not agree to replace carpet, needless to say I am very dissapointed. Does anyone else have this problem? |

Welcome aboard - but bummer on the water leak. There is one other thread here of another experience.
If not happy with your stealer, I would suggest you contact Honda direct and elevate the problem. If there is indeed water damage to the carpet, there is no reason why Honda would not stand behind it if it was due to a manufacuring defect.
Good Luck! |

Maybe posting this in the 'troubleshooting' section would get more responses from members. I'm not so sure honda reads the forums, so you'll probably need to call them if you're having a problem.
BTW Why do you need to have the carpet replaced? Is it moldy or something? If not, and if it dried completely, there's no reason to replace it. Or, is it cosmetically damaged? |

I'm not sure why we call this portion of the forum "Dear Honda"?
