| I have searched everywhere on the net for a picture of a lifted ridge. no luck. I understand they do come in a 4x4 model right? I just don't see why noone has put 35s and a suspension lift on one yet 8) |

It might be too early to find anything available.

I am sure a lift kit will be available eventually. It takes time with any truck, even trucks that people commonly lift like Tacoma's.
You have to realize the Ridgeline is not exactly marketed towards the "truck lifter" types. I've experience in that area and from what I know and from what I've seen lifts are almost always done incorrectly, or over-done. The guy that did mine (3" lift on a Tacoma) did not even shim to correct the drive shaft angle! At the time I did not know better. My lift was done right with 3" lift leaf springs in the rear. I would only do a lift with springs or shackles, blocks are the most common because the are cheap, but they are not the correct way to lift.
Of course the RL would be lifted with coils, but I don't know enough about lifts or the RL's suspension to know what it would take to do it right.
BTW tylerteg all Ridgelines are 4x4's (using Honda's VTM-4 system).

The real question IMO is what effect lifting/tire swaps will have on the software that runs the VSA , VTM ,ABS and Traction control.
I traded a loaded TRD Tacoma 4wd in on my Ridge and I had lifted it 3"(Cornfed) and had 100K trouble free miles before I traded it. I drive in in sand quite a bit.
The Ridgeline is ripe for a mild lift and some decent AT tires(on OEM rims of course) It's got the shape to make it a real eye catcher.
I want to lift mine(2" max) but only if I can keep all the features.
From what little I've heard - even changing tire sizes may cause problems.
I hope anyone who gets more info on this issue posts it. |

| Well everyone, I work where the ridgelines are made and today Honda brought in a ridgeline lifted very high running 35" tires under it....all i got to say it look amazing,,,,beyond words. It was build obvioulsy for show because what they did was build a tubular frame in between the subframe and the unibody. There were some things that werent connected like abs couplers, the exhaust was just a turn down at the engine. with the subframes sitting so low everything was way to low,,,,exhaust,,,driveshaft and engine,,,,so this set up was built just to show what it would look like all done up....but hopefully these suspension manufacturers see this and decide to build a lift kit for it,,,,,cause this truck look so hot!! |

That's awesome! I can't wait to see some pictures of this Ridgeline. Do you have any idea where Honda is planning to show it? |

My kids and I have gone to several monster truck rallies and car/truck shows, and seeing a Ridgeline done up as a monster truck would be cool. Then I'd leave with my kids and get into my stock height non screwed up safe and easy handling Ridgeline for the journey home. Trucks with solid front and rear axles are much easier to lift, but what we have with the Ridgeline is rather complicated. Put it this way -- much easier to screw up than to re-engineer.
Of course, that's just my opinion and I'm not trying to offend anyone! |

| No offense taken... I think I'd like to see it raised/lifted slightly, not in a 'monster truck' sort of way, just enough to give it a more aggressive stance. Is that possible? |

| I would agree with nondem, a 2" lift with some hummer size tires would look hot only if it does not affect the various electronic stuff so we don't loose the 4x4 mode. |

| The tire/wheel size can be increased without any problems except the obvious odo being affected depending on the new size. Even the tire pressure monitor can be used with different tires/wheels. What are the issues with raising it a couple inches? I have absolutely no experience or knowledge along these lines, so any input would be good. |

| Same here, no experience in this matter but the topic about the company that might be creating spacers for the springs is just what might work providing they satisfy our curious minds with all these questions... |

| Asking philosophically here or maybe I'm too practical or just don't understand; why would one lift a Ridgeline? Is it a "look" you want or will it be driving over some obstacle? OR, have I really become, as they use to say, a "fuddy duddy"? |

Dear Mr. Duddy,
I believe the lift is to obtain a look, nothing more, nothing less. Some might say it's to get over an obstacle, but it's really just for a certain look. It's like putting 22" wheels and aggressive looking tires on it, it's to make it look a certain way. Hope this helps.
Signed,
Mr. Oldfart  |
