| I purchased the Honda Trailer Hitch Kit: P/N 08L92-SJC-100, had it installed at my dealer, and purchased a "Prodigy" Brake controller. My problem: Where does the four conductor "Sub Harness" plug into after it's spliced to the controller harness? I have the Ridgeline Service Manual, and the best I can tell, it should plug into connector 29, the optional brake connector. I have looked for a connector on the bottom left of the driver side near the interior fuse box. I asked two dealers and they have yet to show me where it should plug in. I'm sure it's right in front of me, either taped up, or plugged into a dummy socket. Any suggestion? Thanks |

Welcome to the forum kykilowatt!!
There have been several of us here that went the DIY route on the Honda hitch (kit). I'm trying to remember what the connector looked like on the brake controller and if there was any other spare mating connectors visible under the dash. I suggest you look for more yellow (blue or whatever color tape it was) in the same area.

I was just reading the owners manual about pulling a trailer and there is a section talking about trailer brakes. I believe it said the connector was above the brake peddle.

| The connector is blue-taped to a wire loom near the top of the parking brake pedal. I'll try to get a picture of mine to help. |

| Thanks, I did find it, up high above the brake pedal. It was taped, and hard to get to. I could only get one hand in there to plug in the "Prodigy" brake controller connector. The Prodigy controller works great and was easy to install after I found the connector for the sub-harness to plug into. I just wasn't looking high enough under the dash. Thanks again for the help! |
