I always feel kinda funny about washing a truck! But I still do it! I'm wondering how often the rest of you wash your truck?
Post your comments, too. It'd be interesting to know how many of us actually detail our trucks and how many just 'knock the chunks off of it!'

| I voted 'other' because I wash mine only when I either have nothing better to do or it's just so darn filthy that I can't stand it any more! 8) |

We are closest to weekly. Mostly it's been due to dirty rain or dust storms moving through, although there have been a few times that it's righteously dirty from getting off the pavement.
I love it looking all shiny. I get the added bonus of getting my Jeep GC cleaned up too, because we take them both to the car wash. My Jeep is Black Cherry and it looks worse than the SBM color when it's dirty. |

I voted monthly, but I think its actually more like every other week. I bought a 10 pack of washes right after I got the truck 3 months ago and I've only got 2 left. I usually get it washed after it rains, but only if I'm sure it won't be raining again for at least a few days. I washed it by hand once but decided that I won't do that again unless I move, the water here is so bad that even with the Mr. Clean spot-free filter system there were really bad water spots all over the truck! I was even drying it to try to prevent the spots and they were just terrible. That's well water for you. It also got washed once by the dealer when I took it in to have the trunk lide weatherstripping glued back on. They did an absolutely terrible job so I complained on their feedback form. They called and offered me a complete wash and wax to be done by their detailers. I think I might use that the next time I want it washed, the only problem is that they'll have it for about 45 min. to get it all done.
That dealer also offers a complete detailing, inside and out, for $99 for any Honda. I'm thinking I'll do that once or twice a year to really spruce it up. I used to detail my own cars all the time, but I'm so busy with work these days that I hardly ever have the time anymore. |

| About every other week or so. I need to detail the engine, too, because it is so dusty from my off-road rides. If I know I'm going off-road, I will wait until after I go for sure. |

The local Acura dealer does a terrible wash job! I complain every time and about the only thing they offer me is to skip the wash! |

| I wash my black Ridgeline weekly with the Mr. Clean car wash attachment for the hose. It works great. It doesn't require you to dry the truck off and leaves no spots. Best car wash product I've ever used. |

| Yes once a week I go through the motions of washing my truck, then I look at it for as long as possible.... jump in head down the dusty or muddy gravel road to the highway. My wife says this to will pass, but its lasted longer so far than any other vehicle I have had. Also waxed the Ridge for the first time this weekend, all I can say is if you want to go to another level of intimacy with this fine truck, this did it for me  |

| Wash definitely for the weekend and once mid week unless its raining. Gotta keep black clean. Wax 4-6 weeks so far. I like it clean, it helps to get people to stare at it like they still do. 8) |

| I washed my Black RTL w/SR for the first time and nothing but water spots afterward. I guess I'll have to try some of the other methods people have talked about. Another problem is the glass on the side windows. All it does is streak constantly when cleaned. I don't know if Honda used something initially and it needs to be cleaned off. I put Rain-X on the front windshield and it's fine so................. |

| I have window streaking if I wash in the sun so make sure you are in the shade when cleaning. Also get a shammy for drying the truck after washing, no spots. |

| Washing in the sun is always frowned upon, but some of us have no real choice -- our driveways are sunny, nothing can change that! I don't have any problems with washing it in the sun except that it gets pretty damn hot around here! 8) |

| Oh yeah, and a chamios is a "must" for drying. I've tried other things, like the 'rubber' chamios, microfiber, and I like the authentic chamios the best. 8) |
