|
|
Here is a good one. A friend of mine bought the Ridgeline RTL model and as part of his package he had the Auto-Day/Night mirror installed. He gave me the stock RTL mirror with the compass in the upper right corner. I have the RTS version of the Ridgeline which comes with a plain mirror. I would like to use the RTL mirror if possble. I have already swapped the RTL mirror for the RTS mirror but I am having problems with the electrical connection for the mirror.
Here is the issue. From what I can discern the wiring harness for the roof electrical system is different between the RTL and the RTS (2047622 - RTL vs 2047621 - RTS). The major difference between these two harnesses is the addition of a 7pin electrical connector for the RTL mirror w/compass. So this leaves me without any viable way to connect the RTL mirror to power in an RTS. (Both harnesses contain the 4pin connector for the optional Auto-Day/Night mirror). I was looking at the 4pin-7pin cable that comes with the Auto-Day/Night mirror installation kit (08V03-SJC-101) but I have no clue if it is the same shape or electrical pin-out required for the the RTL mirror. Since the installation instructions say to use the new cable and not the cable provided with an RTL mirror, I am guessing they are different.
So this is where I am stuck. I could try to "hot wire" it myself but I do not have access to any wiring schematics to allow me to do so.
Any ideas?

item #001 is what you would need, but probably more trouble than it's worth really |
