I am looking to trade in my Jeep Grand Cherokee on a Ridgeline with leather/sunroof but no navigation system..
My local Dealer says no deals on MSRP of $40,400 plus freight, levies for a total retail of $42379 Canadian plus GST/PST...
What kind of deals did others get in Ontario?? |

| All that I could do is to talk them into giving me some extra $$$ for my trade in. Other than that they didn't want to deal too much. This was in Calgary. Then, when we finalized the deal I had to wait for a month and half to get a unti shipped from Ontario because I wanted Red NAVI. |

I bought the same trim you mentioned(EXL with sunroof for $40400),added rear plash guards, side step bars, towing package, hood bug deflector and door visor kit and I got aprox $2600 off the whole deal.
which was more then enough to buy 7year/160,000 kms extended warranty :)
ARRRRGH   GST/PST   HURTS!!! |

| Bought mine in Woodstock, Ontario. Threw in rear mudflaps and gave me really good money for my trade in but, wouldn't budge on price. They also offered to give me great deals on the accessories. I shopped 4 other dealers and all said that they wouldn't budge on price. My advice is to pick a dealer you will be happy with check out the service dept. and how they handle problems, that was my priority. So far I really recommend Dubois in Woodstock. They treat me real good. |

Here in Western Canada (Alberta to be exact), the Honda dealerships are finally willing to do some dealing on the Ridgeline. In the spring/early summer it was MSRP or nothing, but when I bought this was no longer the case.
I traded in my 1999 Outback, so I can't say what the "real" selling price was for the Ridgeline (LX model), but they offered me more for my trade in than I expected (not to mention quite a bit more than Black Book value).
Overall I was pleased with the deal I made for my Ridgeline.
Good luck. |

Probably nobody watches this thread anymore, anyways, I try it:
I'm shopping around for the Ridgeline and I wander if anyone in Canada/Ontario have been shopping in US. Friends have purchased Toyotas via a broker but I also heard Honda warranty does not cross the border. Real saving though.
Anyone? |
