Fuse Buss
Is there any place i can go to buy Littelfuse brand fuses? and does the ampage matter ALL THAT MUCH?
Buss brands aren’t High Quality but they are popular. They work great but can’t be cranked up, because of the thin strand of wire in it. Littelfuse fuses have a coil of wire, i could turn my stereo up to max for whole songs, 74 is max on my STR-DE995 Sony stereo and at 60 the left fuse blew and had to do without my front A speakers for a while till i could go pick up a new fuse.
And the one that blew was a 2A 250V, when i need a 2.5Amp, i have a 3 Amp in my left speaker, Cerwin-Vega! HTS15A, and it doesnt SOUND any different. However it could just be that the ampage is off? mabey the 2 Amp didn’t have enough power to support the high bass and treble? also, is the only thing that could happen with the 3 Amp be overheating and shutting itself off? cause my sub has done that because it hot so hot the build-in amp got blazing hot to the touch.

Yes, amperage does matter as do other characteristics like slow blow or fast blow. Your observations of the shape of the wire may be correct, but it makes no difference.
If you have a fuse in the line which is too small, you will blow fuses needlessly. A fuse which is too large may result in your blowing and causing permanent damage to your amp or the speakers.
