Gps Disciplined

Jumping/event saddle + dressage saddle OR general purpose saddle?
Would I be better to buy one, ultra good quality (say for £800) general purpose saddle, OR two separate discipline saddles, one for jumping (say £400) and one for dressage (£400)?
The activities I would like to do are: Showjumpng (BSJA), Dressage (BD), Eventing (BE), all at ponyclub and affiliated level, showing classes like working hunter and ridden hunter, drag hunting, hacking etc…
I really love dressage, and love riding in a dressage saddle, it really helps the position, but i also love jumping and want to do alot of activities involving jumping!
I read recently that you’re better off buying a specific discipline saddle over a GP, because GPs are compromises, so they’re too forward cut for dressage and too straight cut for jumping!
What do you think I should do?
It depends what you have to spend – if you have plenty I’d get a set for every sphere of the sport. However if money isn’t available I’d go with a close contact gp saddle I’m more into jumping my self and used the close contact gp saddle for exercising my horses on a daily basis and use the jumping saddle for lessons and shows.
