neighbor backed into my parked car~ who is at fault?
my neighbor across the street from me claims it was mine for parking in a “hazardous location” – meaning i wasn’t parked in the driveway, but i was pulled well over off the street, on my lawn. there was a solid 10 feet of road between my car & her driveway. she did come up to my door and let me know that she had knocked my left mirror off & left a small dent in the side, and offered to pay for the damages, at first.
now that i brought her the estimate for the damages, she’s telling me it was my fault & that it would have been astronomically IMPOSSIBLE for her to get out of her driveway without hitting me.
i don’t understand this at all;
she hit my (PARKED) car and is now claiming no fault. when we file with the insurance company, whose side will they take?

She hit you. Shes at fault. Your car was parked. Even if you were parked behind her, if she hit you, its her fault.
