Robot sensor question?
I’m am getting ready to order sensors for the robot, and I have a couple of questions that I hope to get answered before placing the order. We are going to need light sensors for our robot, and the first link is the sensor we have selected. My question is with the “Inex Stanard 3 pin PCB connector”. I’m guessing that would mean I would need to get the connector as well in the second link. Does it appear that this is the right cable? Also, I was wondering with these cables if you can simply connect the sensor to the microcontoller using three seperate wires connected to the PCB cable (5V,GND,OPUT), or do I need the same kind of connector at the microcontroller end?

You need to order the cable, but you can cut the connector off the end at the microprocessor board end and use whatever connectors you want to use. If you don’t cut the connector off, you’ll need to find the matching connector. It might be wise to find that connector mate.
