About Cleaning Shower Curtains
Are you trying to clean your find shower curtains? Well you have come to the right place. Below is an overview of some of the methods you can use. Take a few minutes to read right to the end and see if none of the recommendations provided here will be useful to you.
Firstly, I am aware that changing curtains can be a rather daunting task and highly expensive at that. However, when the liner starts to develop some mold and becomes filled with soap scum – what then?
One options is to soak it in the bath with bleach and some water. If you opt for this method you need to be careful especially if you own a colored one like a target brown toile shower curtain.
The simplest and effective method is to put it in the wash. No matter the make you can just throw it in there and it will come out squeaky clean. You might have to set the machine to be at non-rinse cycle and also use a normal detergent. For best results, chuck in a towel or two in there so you can have it rub against the curtain and cleaning it in the process.
soaking it in some soda crystals can also do wonders. Compared to bleach this is way better especially in terms of eco-friendliness. In addition it is superior than bleaching because it does not emit ant nasty smell. Just add the soda crystals in a water bath and leave it overnight.
You also have an option to put your red,white and blue shower curtain in the wash with the soda crystals instead of a normal washing detergent|in the bath and use the soda crystals. You can even use some vinegar instead of a condistioner. Note that I haven’t tried the vinegar myself but with so many testimonials I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for you – except for the smell.
