Solar Power House – Getting started on your homemade solar power system
There are a variety of advantages to enjoy when you have a solar power house. Consumers have the misconception that incorporating solar power house kits will be unaffordable. Although some installed solar power house systems do end up costing thousands, it’s possible for you to get home solar power kits in place for much less. If you love do it yourself projects, installing a solar panel home system in your home can be inexpensive and beneficial.
For $1000 or less, you can have your solar powered house. This setup won’t run a huge two story home but e.g. for a smaller cabin, you can get the components that you need for $600 or so. This price requires that you do your own work so be standing by to do some hard work yourself.
There are quite a few products that you will need. Some of the materials to purchase include home solar panels, sealed batteries 12 volts , charge controller – 12 volts and, modified 12 volt sine wave inverter. All of these products can be purchased for $600 or less, a reasonable price, if you make the purchase on the web. Then you’ll just need the special hardware for mounting, cables, fuses, and wires for the project.
While you are starting out on a small scale with your house on solar power, the option is available for you to expand your system to create a larger house solar power system. You can add on to the system later on if it’s needed. A larger system will be needed to power larger solar power homes; however, this system to get started is easy to afford and can allow you to start out easily and simply.
With some work you will be able to do-it-yourself (DIY) solar power for your house for a great price. While you’ll have to do all the work, it can be an exciting project to work on. Start out buying the materials mentioned to start off with. This will get you going on your way to having a house with solar power.
With many governments such as South Africa, Australia, USA, New Zealand, Canada, UK, Germany, etc., offering incentives for solar power these days, you can put in your own solar electricity system and take advantage of an incentive from your government as well. The best part is, you’ll be creating your own solar power home for far less than you ever expected and on your way to running on clean energy for the power you need in your home.
