The Bankers Cash Cow That Mis Sold PPI To Financial Consumers And Released Billions Of Profit
PPI is maybe a big con which has been played on many hapless victims. Those conned were customers who are financially vulnerable like the retired, self-employed and jobless.
Thanks to mis sold PPI, folks discovered that they were not even due for a policy but had one forced upon them by overenthusiastic bankers eager to flatter their seniors. Folks were briefed that if they wanted a loan, mortgage or plastic it was vitally necessary they own PPI otherwise they cannot gain access to the money.
This was a big lie which made fools of a lot of customers. These people acquired the PPI and subsequently discovered the payments were now added to their usual installments, which made for a large amount of funds being drained out of their savings.
When the time was right to make a PPI claim, the victims discovered how truly they were guinea pigs of PPI mis selling and how terribly they had been made fools of. Several found they no longer had any money and when the clients went to ask for their money the policyholders discovered they were not entitled to any money because they were ineligible to meet PPI terms and conditions.

Although the banks have been disciplined seriously the amounts involved are minor as opposed to the funds lots of customers have lost due to banking mischief. There is also a a popular sentiment that perhaps those definitely responsible should do some jail time for their transgressions which will positively assure lessons have been learned and it will not occur again and customers are not conned again.
It appears that political parties are not wanting to take up the matter of mis sold PPI claims for reasons they only know. A lot of it may be because banks have a role to play in campaign funding so no side wants to anger the wrong people.
What is sad is those without a sure income source to speak of were cheated so sadly by a group of bank officers who had their own selfishness in mind. The officials were looking for promotions and wage increases provided they made enough PPI sales to loan applicants.
Meantime, those who were cheated into acquiring a policy discovered the payments were being tacked on to the usual payments which caused their savings accounts being drained. Certainly the affected section of clients could not really afford this and quite a few worried about bankruptcy.
Shamelessly the banks have also gone on the offensive against the FSA casting doubts on its authority to place punishments on the banks for their misdemeanors. This point of view truly does not work as the FSA is the watchdog of the banking sector and is responsible for monitoring what goes on.
The unprovoked attack on the FSA obviously shows financial institutions are on the back foot and intent on trying to hide the PPI matter under the rug. However, it is not likely that the policyholders will forget the great hoax that was played on them.
