Are these electronic parts compatible?
Ok, so I am making a proximity sensor or burglar alarm thing that is really small but I don’t know much about electronics. If I bought all these parts, would they be compatible with one another and be able to serve as a proximity buzzer if I were to mount them correctly on a door or something?
1) Mini DC Buzzer
*3 VDC

2)Open Reed Switch- magnet operated (normally open OR closed)

4) Thin copper wire
5) Household magnet (do I need a certain strength of magnet to operate the switch?)
looks good.
PS, I recently bought a set of about 8 of these at wall-mart for a few dollars. Reed switch, magnet, battery and noise maker.
