Vertical Float
Does anyone know how to adjust an automatic pool leveller?
Mine looks like a vertical plastic pipe with a stick and float attached, perpendicular to the pipe, with a wing nut on the rod that holds the float. Similar to the float in a toilet. When the float is pushed down, water flows from the top of the pipe. This float is not in the pool… it’s outside the pool (which is an in-ground pool) and “buried” in the ground in a large PVC pipe next to the pool. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Water level is a couple inches too low.
Unscrew the wing nut and adjust the float to the level you desire. The higher the float is, the higher the water level should be, and the lower the float is, the lower the water level.
Keep in mind that the brass valves tend to go bad quickly. So your best bet would probably be to replace the unit with a plastic auto-fill valve.
If you can take some pictures of your unit and send them to me, I can probably let you know exactly what you need to do. Right now I’m going off just your description.
